Eva Mendes (born in New York City) is an American actress and model. The actress was noticed by a talent agency who recognized her potential and convinced her to pursue an occupation in the field of entertainment. After much thought and consideration she decided to leave university in order to work in the entertainment industry. Her debut was in the film Children of the Corn V : Fields of Terror, and she wasn't happy about how it came out. The skills she developed in acting were sharpened by appearing in low budget film productions. It wasn't an easy path for this actor but her sheer willpower and perseverance did not go unrewarded. Her acting career took off after she received praise, fame and recognition for her role on Training Day. The most well-known films she has appeared in are 2 Fast 2 Furious, Hitch Ghost Rider Bad Lieutenant Port of Call New Orleans, and Holy Motors.
