Kolber is a native of Pennsylvania who graduated with a doctorate in master's studies at The University of Miami. Kolber started her career as a journalist in New York City as a CBS Sports video coordinator. She was awarded the Sports Emmy in Miami during her stint as a reporter at WTVJ-TV. She also worked at WPLG-TV Miami as well as WPEC-TV West Palm Beach in Florida. In 1993, she was selected for anchoring the first season of ESPN2's debut. She was with ESPN2 between 1993 and 1999 before moving on to Fox Sports. Then she returned to ESPN which is where she now hosts the show 'Monday Night Countdown.'
